Chara Apserou

Chara Apserou joined AP Marine Environmental Consultancy Ltd in May 2020 as a Marine Scientist/Researcher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences from the University of the Aegean, where she developed specialized technical skills in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and marine spatial planning. At AP Marine, Chara leads the Cyprus Aquaculture monitoring programs for various fisheries, overseeing critical tasks such as on-board sampling, laboratory analysis of macrofauna, and the compilation of comprehensive environmental monitoring reports. Her expertise also extends to water quality monitoring for hatcheries and data analysis for scientific reporting. Her project portfolio includes conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), brine dispersion modelling studies, and deep-sea research across the Eastern Mediterranean and Africa. Chara is also a contributing author to international scientific publications focused on marine biodiversity and the long-term ecological assessment of benthic habitats.
