Chara Apserou holds a Bachelor degree in Marine Sciences (Aegean University, Marine Sciences Department). During her studies she had the opportunity to participate in many fields works such as Plastic Litter Project 2018 with Marine Remote Sensing Group. She also had the opportunity to observe the desalination process in Lesvos Island. Despite her interest in the field of environment and ecology, she emphasized and worked for a long time during her bachelor’s degree with the Geographic Information Systems. Chara, joined AP Marine Environmental Consultancy Ltd as a Marine Scientist/Researcher in May 2020. Her responsibilities include both field and laboratory/ research issues. In addition, her role is specialized on Cyprus Aquaculture monitoring including on board sampling, taxonomy of macrofauna marine species and monitoring reports. She also assists with different projects including Fisheries and marine biodiversity.
